The Cork International Choral Festival is pleased to launch a non-competitive strand under the banner of the Gathering Ireland 2013.
“Whether you're a choir in San Francisco, a choir in Stockholm, in St. Petersburg, Singapore or somewhere else, celebrate a year of connections by joining the Festival's Gathering.
The Festival has always featured choirs from around the world on a non-competitive basis. In 2013, as an expansion of our non-competitive strand, choirs will have the opportunity to partake in the Festival Gathering, a massed choral event organised by The Gathering Ireland. As part of a full concert programme, choirs will have the opportunity to perform the world famous song 'You Raise Me Up' with its renowned Irish composer, Brendan Graham, in attendance.
