Published: May 22,2018

Beijing, China, 19 July to 25 July 2018

As you read in our last IFCMeNEWS, the four top choirs invited to the China International Chorus Festival in July are now selected. This week, let’s discover Pannon Voices Mixed Choir!

Founded in 2017, Pannon Voices Mixed Choir is composed of singers that are all music teachers. Their reputation came soon after, as they were awarded first Prize at the Budapest International Choral Festival the same year. Their repertoire includes Hungarian music from the last centuries, preserved manuscripts of Hungarian composers in the Romanticism, contemporary works as well as manuscripts of 19th century female composers. Pannon Voices Mixed Choir mainly performs works of Hungarian composers, such as Ferenc Liszt, Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály, and Lajos Bárdos. The repertoire also includes works composed by Hungarian most prominent contemporary composers: Sándor Szokolay, Erzsébet Szőnyi, Miklós Kocsár, Levente Gyöngyösi, Péter Tóth, and Barnabás Horváth.
