Let's prove the benefits of singing!
Published: Jul 03,2018

Like us, you strongly believe that collective singing has a positive impact on individuals and provides benefits for society. But can you prove it, with scientific evidence? Wouldn’t it be a useful to have solid data to convince others to join, support and fund (y)our favourite activity? To help the sector, we decided to lead a scientific effort of collecting, evaluating and sharing the existing researches and studies on the "Benefits of Collective Singing". With your help and the collaboration of Volker Hagemann, a researcher from the University of Würzburg, we plan to produce a comprehensive review of the existing science on the topic.

 How can you help?

  • You might have read, heard of, or contributed to scientific research dealing with the “benefits of collective singing”
  • You might have a copy of such documents
  • You might know somebody that has this knowledge in your network

What type of information do we need:

  •  References of any scientific research studying the effect and impact of collective singing on well-being, social integration, health, academic results, musical skills, etc...
  • In any language (if not English or German, a short description might help)
