Chœur la Grâce, Democratic Republic of Congo, receives honour
Published: Jan 31,2024

Founded in 1985 and IFCM member since 2000, Chœur la Grâce (Ambroise Kua-Nzambi Togo, conductor) has become one of the best-known choirs on the African continent.

Chœur la Grâce has performed in 113 cities (Africa, Asia, and Europe) and has participated in 40 international festivals, including two IFCM World Symposia for Choral Music (Kyoto 2005 and, most recently, Istanbul 2023). The choir has performed at summits of heads of state, at conferences of the Economic Community of Central African States and the Southern African Development Community, and for the International Organization of La Francophonie.

On 15 December 2023, in recognition of these artistic and cultural achievements, the country’s Chancellor of National Orders recognized Chœur la Grâce as an official representative of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
